There are two issues of concern in Franschoek at the moment, the proposed development of a shopping mall and the steep increases in rates and taxes contained in the Stellenbosch Muicipality's draft budget for 2009/2010.
Interested and affected parties should please add their voices to the public participation process by way of postings on the discussion forum, or Emails to the web administrator, who will ensure that views and concerns are channeled appropriately - however, localised concerns are best channeled through local organisations, such as the Franschoek Ratepayers Association.
