Jamestown
Jamestown is one of the oldest, establlshed rural hamlets in the Stellenbosch region, and the local high school, Stellenzicht, has a well deserved reputation for excellence. In recent years, Jamestown has become a target for developers and speculators and there is now an attempt to rezone and develop adjacent wine farms for mass housing.
As will be evident from the Discussion Forum, Jamestown residents are not being properly consulted in planning and developments affecting them and have joined forces with the SRA to actively participate in the local government's public particpation process.
